Remote Desktop Service (RDS)
Another way to connect your infrastructure to the cloud is through Remote Desktop Service in which the software interface is transferred to the user’s computer screen while data is stored on a remote server receiving user input. The displayed information on the computer screen is coming from a single server through the internet thus giving every user the same desktop experience. Its low bandwidth supports a single operating system image which is easily deployed and often eliminates software redundancies. Less effort will be required to manage application patches and driver updates. It is however not possible for users to customize their interface thus exposing some applications to malicious activities. This risk can be mitigated through robust authentication and authorization measures usually designed to minimize unwarranted attacks.
