Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)
It is essential for us to guarantee business operations for our customers. Our approach is to replicate your data in the cloud while providing reliable, rapid and efficient failover of the production environment when the need arises. Integrative Arctic advices on 3 models of DRaaS;
Managed DRaaS: This is the replication and hosting of virtual servers in the cloud to provide failover in the event of service disruptions. With this model, our customers agree to pass over the responsibility for disaster recovery to a third party which could be us or a recommended entity. We recommend this to customers that lack the expertise to manage their disaster recovery. We also strongly advise those who choose this model to stay in close contact with the DRaaS provider.
Assisted DRaaS: We recommend this model for customers who choose a shared responsibility model in aspects of disaster recovery plan either because they have customized applications or they feel the need to maintain control over their disaster recovery plan. Integrative Arctic offers services and expertise in many ways to optimize disaster recovery processes and procedures. However, customers are responsible for implementing the procedures that they choose. We therefore adopt a shared responsibility approach with this model.
Self-Service DRaaS: This is the approach we recommend to mostly on-premise customers equipped with competent staff to manage their disaster recovery plan. It is also the cheapest model as the responsibility to manage and implement through virtual machines hosting the infrastructure backup lies entirely with the customer. There must be careful planning and testing to ensure the appropriate failover is achieved in the event of service disruptions.
Our goal in DRaaS is to provide our customers the peace of mind to focus on business operations. In essence, we guarantee data protection by implementing enterprise grade replication software that provides a vendor-independent solution to all versions of applications utilizing encrypted data. This way, we can minimize your Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO), drastically reduce any downtown involved while keeping data loss negligible.
