Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
This is another way Integrative Arctic can help support clients connecting to the cloud. Each user has a dedicated space on a remote server that creates customized desktop experience. VDI uses the user experience to customize desktop thereby countering the limitation provided by RDS as there is really no generic interface. As these experiences are stored on servers, there is ultimately lower hardware cost as less storage capacity is required for individual machines. There is also less work effort as application patches and driver update can be provided from a single location making it easy to provide broad based deployments. The drawback starts with the licensing requirements of customizing computer software as optimal performance will require a better server hardware and higher storage capacity requirements from customer preferences that mostly turn out to be subjective.
